I’m a busy mom of three amazing kids Pandora, Eliah, and Jake—and I have a wonderful husband who helps me. I’ve mixed my love for family and these soft, loving cats into one happy life. We named our cattery “Pandora” after our first daughter when she was only five. The name comes from a Greek story about curiosity and wonder. It fits our cats perfectly. These velvet-soft “Greek cats” (British Shorthairs) have a long history from Roman times and a calm, magical charm that feels like a gift from above. Our whole family is the heart of the cattery. We give every British Shorthair kitten love from the very first day so they grow up brave and cuddly, ready for any home. We don’t just see them as pets; we see them as new family members. I fell in love with this breed because of their classic beauty, round faces, and kind smarts. It’s been a journey full of sweet moments, learning, and hard work. As a biologist, I’m excited by the science of their genes. Years of caring for British Shorthair cats, deep study, and keeping up with new cat knowledge have taught me how genes create their thick coats, strong bodies, and gentle hearts. What began as a little side project swiftly expanded beyond my wildest dreams. How big do they get?

British Shorthair cats are medium- to large-sized cats. Males typically weigh between 4.5 and 7 kg, while females are slightly smaller, averaging 3.5–5.5 kg.

​At what age will my kitten be ready to come home?

Kittens are ready to go to their new homes at 12–14 weeks of age, after they have been weaned, vaccinated, desexed, and socialized.

Are British Shorthairs good for first-time cat owners?

They can be a good choice for first-time owners who are prepared for their high energy levels and need for interaction. If you’re looking for an active, engaging cat, they’re a fantastic option.

Can I choose my kitten’s name?

Yes, you can choose your kitten’s name. However, the registered pedigree and microchipping name will follow our cattery’s naming convention.
